Ten Tips for Success
April 8, 2008 · Written by Heather Juma
Only focus on the things that YOU can control, not on what you can’t control
Keep yourself on track, don’t think about your competitors. Highly successful people create, they do NOT compete.
Work on getting past your fear. This is dream killer #1! Do what you are afraid to do and the fear will disappear.
NEVER give up! Push on and persevere, success usually comes at the same time you want to quit.
Take MASSIVE ACTION everyday! Keep a journal of how much time you are really working, you’ll be shocked.
Get out of your comfort zone, take risks and stretch yourself to do something that you find scary.
Write a list of your goals DAILY, know “why” you want something. Every goal has to have a reason.
Visualize your goals every morning, in the afternoon and before you go to sleep.
Have laser beam focus. Your mind can hold only one thought at a time. Do not multi-task.
Break your goals down into daily, weekly, monthly achievable steps reaching your short term goals on your way to your long term goals.

Wow! All these is like a motivational speech =) But a little bit of competition is good for motivation. Too much of it is bad though =/
Yeah!! These are indeed what we should behave. I think the one most should be apply on me is to getting pass my fear as I’m a timid person who don’t dare to risk for anything.
These are great tips - the only thing I’d add is to celebrate and recognise your achievements along the way! Maybe keep a progress diary and you can get a feel for how far you have really come.
